Many of you will have seen my posts on my facebook page about my stall at the Horizon Events Craft Show. This is coming up next weekend! I will be frantically making new pieces this week, none of which will be listed on facebook until the show is over, otherwise I'm not going to have any stock!
For any of you who live locally, the show is on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of May, from 10am until 4pm at the Edgar Centre. The entry fee is $5.00 per adult, $4.00 for seniors and students, and children under 15 are fee. There will be a wide range of stalls there, and a cafe that will be open all day.
Below is a 10% off voucher that if you print and bring along to the market, it will get you 10% off any Iron Butterfly Jewellery purchase. You must present the voucher to get this discount.
I hope to see some of you there! Do come and say hello if you do come past, and make sure you mention you know me from facebook :-) The lovely Tracie from Cute as a Button will be helping me on Saturday for most of the day, and my Mum will be helping me on Sunday. Good to have an extra set of hands for if it gets busy, but also so I can have a wee break now and then!!!

Tropical forest - Otago Museum
Now some of you may have guessed by the name of my business, but I am slightly butterfly mad :P Today I went to the tropical forest in discovery world at the Otago Museum. If you live local, or visit Dunedin sometime I recommend going!! It was truely awesome. The butterflies are so beautiful, and just fly all around you - they even land on you!!
Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.

Me with a butterfly. The photo is a bit foggy as the camera hadn't adjusted to the humidity yet - but couldn't miss the photo opportunity!
We assume this is a reasonably new butterfly as his wings were in perfect condition. Lots of the butterflies looked slightly ragging, and even a couple had broken wings.
They really do just come and land on you when they please!
This monarch is just beautiful!
I have many many more photos, and hope to go back with my good camera some day as these shots were only done on my point and shoot camera.
Today I glued together a few more pieces ready for the big show next week. I have uploaded photos of the clips on my facebook page, and have the headbands to photograph tomorrow. Madly trying to get as much stock made as I can for the market!
For those of you who do live local, the Horizon Events Craft Show is on next weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 4pm. I will be putting a voucher up hopefully tomorrow and if you print it off and come and visit me and my helpers at the show, you can have 10% off any purchase you make :-)
Have had a pretty busy day, after a late night last night, so time for me to hit the hay! Hope your weekends are all going well :-)

Welcome to the Iron Butterfly blog!
I have been meaning to start a blog for quite some time, so here it is! Because of facebooks tight rules you aren't allowed to run giveaways or anything on your page, and can risk getting it shut down. But you can run them through a blog and link to it from facebook (I don't understand the difference but however, I'm following the rules!) so that will be the main reason for this blog, but I will use it to update about my beading adventures!
Thanks for visiting, and feel free to share my blog with your friends!
